Re: Getting Nylon to stick and still remove easily
I have had good luck with thin wall nylon parts using a 3 layer raft on 4 layers of glue stick. I know a lot of people don't like using rafts, me included, but it has worked for me when I've tried everything else to get a nylon part to stay put. You can play around with the raft separation setting t...

Re: Good Adhesion/Easy Print Removal from Kapton taped bed
How many layers of glue stick do you typically apply? I put on one layer in one direction (say at zero), then the next layer 90 degrees to that one, then the next layer at zero, then the 4th layer at 90 degrees all on an unheated bed. Seems to help fill in any gaps that you might miss applying the g...

Re: Taulman 910
Yes, the multiple infill angles work great for both support and part infill for those of you that have not tried it. My thoughts on the Taulman 910 were that a material this stiff would be brittle, right? Can you do this with PETG, ABS, or PLA? I don't have much experience with these other materials...

Re: Taulman 910
This part was done in Taulman 910 and I compared it with a similar part (on the left in the second picture) in 645 that I have done recently. The 910 is significantly stiffer and gives you that injection molded part feel my customers have been looking for in a prototype. I also noticed less stringin...

Re: Taulman 910
I agree with Jim, I really like how the dense support gives you better surface finish on the bottom. I use 25% and then 2 layers at 75%. It really speeds up your print times if you have a lot of support. One trick I use if you have tall ,narrow support structures that have a tendency to move around ...

Re: Taulman 910
910 definitely has less warping than 645, at least with the parts I have built here. Support removal was easy using 2 dense support layers at 75%. As far as extrusion consistency, well it is Taulman, so it does vary  . I'm using 1.69 average filament diameter with the spool I have as it varies...

Re: Taulman 910
I use quite a bit of Taulman 645 for structural prototypes and once I heard about the 910, I ordered it. I received my roll of Taulman 910 last night and could not wait to try it. Simple truth, I like it a lot so far. A couple things I noticed right off: 1. Less bed adhesion problems due to less shr...

Re: consistent issues with first layer only
Flip your glass over so the high spot is down and use the bed clips to pull the glass flat on the ends. I had this happen to me and it worked well. I'm within about .002 side to side and end to end now. Give it a try.

You mentioned ultem above. Is this a material you already have available or is it in development? I have read that Stratasys has ultem, but have not seen it available anywhere else. Interested in any info you might share

Re: new hotend not extruding
Did you try slowing the extrusion speed down in jog mode? It looked really fast in the video. I've had that problem before if you are trying to push the filament throught the hot end too fast in jog mode. Worth a try? Yeah i tried it, i even restore simplify to its default settings , the jog speed ...
