Re: E3D V6

Well its in and have run the autotune and it extrudes ..... time to fire off a few calibration pieces. Thanks to everyone in this thread that gave great advice. Oh and don't do what I did. Don't hit home all right after installing the hotend. It was only as the bed was coming up that I had the thoug...

Re: E3D V6

I am about to run my E3d through the auto tune etc tonight. I know they recommend starting the tune at least 30 degrees below 295. I had all sorts of issues getting the sleeving to stay all the way snugged up to the thermistor eventually restoring to the smallest dab of super glue to hold them until...

And to think... someone said you were getting complacent. :D Interesting though, can't wait to see the new upgrade and how it works. -Steve Quick get hold of that guy and make him demand the updragde for free :) In all seriousness this is great news. Re: Oh For Heaven's Sake!

I had a full house generator installed after Hurricane Sandy took out my power for a week. What was particularly galling was that all the houses starting two houses down were all back for days before us, presumably on another circuit. Of course, just like it never rains when you bring an umbrella, ...

Re: Oh For Heaven's Sake!

I love UPS (not the shipper). Uninterruptable power supply. I have one on every computer and certainly my 3D printer. My 3D printer can print for three hours off the grid. After that I'm toast, but it sure helps out with small power outages. UPS and 20kw full house generator here. I joke that when ...

Re: PETG Layer Adhesion

Had this problem until I started running with the fan off through the entire print. Additionally you really need to make sure you have your extrusion multiplier set correctly.

Re: 3d printed speakers

very nice! they do need a little EQ to tune them and get the low end out of them. the cone is only 2.5" so i knew i couldnt expect too much. the binding posts need to be cut short. if you got the same ones as me those are way too long. they are supposed to slip through the hole though with a nut on...

Jimc

Unfortunately I am not that proficient at 3d modeling that would warrant a Rhino license. I am more what you would call "Bad" at it :)

Re: E3D V6

Jim on another note it seems to be that your filament drive perfectly lends itself to other attachments in addition to the fan shroud. My thought its it would be a great way to mount a machinists meter for easy bed leveling. Any chance you could provide the original design files. If not its fine I w...

Re: 3d printed speakers

Also... what is all that stuff in the background? You have a lot of toys. Yes - yes I do :) Remember when you were a kid and the adults said "When you grow up you can do/have whatever you want" Well I took that to heart. In the background is my sound activated foam disc thrower, my robot platform w...
