Re: Garnier Fructis Extra Hold Hairspray Discontinued!
I use an aluminum plate topped with a PEI sheet. There is a whole thread here devoted to that. I need to put an acetone/ABS solution on it to make ABS stick. PLAs, PETG, HIPS, and TPUs stick well with it clean; TPU, a little too well. Nylon needs glue stick; my Markforged came with an Elmer's glue s...

Re: make shrink-on sleeve
One of my more interesting tests for the switch covers was with black and white nylon. I put a single layer on the outside, then cut through that layer with the laser. It was a big PITA and did not work nearly as well as expected.

Re: make shrink-on sleeve
I paint, then laser etch the switch covers. I tried to print the lettering, but even with a 0.25mm nozzle, it just is not that great. It can also take a few trials and errors to get it all right, hence the pile. Fortunately, the local Innovation Studio has four laser cutters. At first I tried to cut...

Re: make shrink-on sleeve
Another college pistol coach now has a full time business making 3D printed grips & a few other shooting accessories ( a few of which I designed). https://www.precisiontargetpistolgrips.com/ The team I help coach has quite a few of his grips. Ha! I thought about doing that about 8 years ago. I guess...

Re: make shrink-on sleeve
I do not know how well 3-D printed plastics obey all these particular laws, but if this page is applicable,https://dielectricmfg.com/knowledge-base/petg/,
then a 4" dia. tube will be roughly 0.02" larger in diameter at 50ºC higher temperature.
