Re: Why can't I reply to posts?
i think you may be in probation mode until you have made a few initial posts (or until such time as some other requirement is fulfilled). this is to prevent spam bots from doing their thing.

i plan on buying one as well, though i'm not yet experienced enough to put it to good use. (or do proper testing)

Re: Filament guide tube problem
lol that's exactly what i did to mine initially. last night i printed out my first ABS piece which happened to be jim's drive for the E3Dv6 which has support for the filament tube. (thanks jim!)
turned out alright i think. i took this before really cleaning it up at all.

Re: 3D Printed Quadrotor Maiden flight video. A not so epic
nice work! i only get around 8-9 minutes with my beast of a re-built aeroquad cyclone with a 4S 5AH battery, but the thing has enough lift it could make off with smaller annoying neighbor's pets. what's that? no, the thought never crossed my mind!

Re: Buildtak
oh sweet. thanks! it is a v5. suppose that means i got the short end of that stick as well.
as for buildtak, im happy with the purchase. not having to perform bed prep or wait for the bed to heat up / cool off (for PLA anyway, and that's all ive been printing) is worth it.

Re: Buildtak
Got the Buildtak on the glass and I did a test print. Test print being yet another tiny set of antlers the girlfriend wanted printed. ;) the bottom layer adhered perfectly to the material at room temperature. There's a section at the lower right of the picture below where the bed was still too close...

Re: Wavy quality issue.
Mine will do that but only on the first layer and only in certain spots, so I always figured it was due to not having the bed perfectly clean and there being different levels of adhesion happening.

Re: Networking
ok. i've got mine wired now and the cpu usage isnt 100% like it was last night while i was viewing the cam. i know signal quality wasn't an issue at all because the pi was only about 7 ft from the base station. i'm guessing either the driver sucks or networking over the usb bus is just too cpu inten...
