Re: Smoothieboard

Yeah but nobody is printing a 4x4x4ft cube.
No, that's why I chose 15 percent as the actual print volume. The full cube would be about 6x or 6 * 600 = 3600 lbs!

Re: Smoothieboard

Uh, 4'x4'x4' is 64 cubic feet. That's 1812278.181888 cubic centimeters. Assuming ABS (1.04 grams per cc) that's about 962 cc per kilogram, gives us approximately 1883 1Kg spools of ABS. Say your print takes up about 15 percent of the volume that would give us somewhere around 282 1Kg spools of ABS f...

Re: Smoothieboard

I don't know where you could find one.

According to the documentation the configuration parameters are read from a text file. In order to change something you just edit the text file and the board will pick up the changes. You don't have to change the firmware to make a configuration change.

Re: Quickie print for Mother's Day

(Hey is your icon one of your pups? Pretty dog!) Yes, That's Roxanne. Her body is brindle like the dark part of her head, very pretty dog. I think over time I'll cycle through our dogs (we have three). Is the lace something you designed? It's looks pretty complicated. I'm just getting into Rhino. Q...

Re: Just setup OctoPrint. Any tips?

I just read through this thread again and I saw something that OctoPrint does, and corrects a deficiency in Simplify3D. One of the screen shots from JohnnyRobot post on March 9th shows that OctoPrint uses checksums!!!!!!! I was thinking about writing a program to post process Simplify3D's output to ...
