Re: best carbon fiber filled filament
Try 3DXTech. They have a full line of chopped CF filled filament and at least PETG with chopped fiber glass. All seem to print with the same settings as the regular stuff, but I always use a steel nozzle to avoid erosion.

Re: Z motor sounds different
When I first installed my dual extruder upgrade, the Z-knob would get pinched by the wires/extruder. It would make a funny noise as the motor would try to turn the Z-axis screw, but could not. I do not know, but I presume there is some kind of 'clutch' between the motor and the screw which produces ...

I always use a glue stick when printing nylon; it always seems to hold.

Re: Extruder Issue Mid Print
It looks as if you have been using the same filament each time. Occasionally, you can get a bad batch with crud inside that clogs your extruder. Some people also have claimed problems due to dust on filament. You might ensure your filament is clean and try a new spool.

Re: instas "filaments that work on the M2" thread
See my post "Butt Pad" under "Printed Object Showcase". I found it fairly easy to print, and it does seem durable; time will tell. I use a 0.50mm nozzle.psd wrote:How does the ninja flex work?Ronnien55 wrote:

Does it create any hassles to the M2?
thanks!

Filament name: J260 Filament vendor: igus Hotend used: V4 PTFE Nozzle diameter: 0.35mm Layer height: 0.2mm Printing temperature: 270C / Bed=100C Other information: igus is known for bearings. The funny thing for bearing material is that it feels rough and almost gritty, but it is rather hard. I had ...

Re: Filaments in Your Filament
That definitely looks like a foreign object in your filament. I would suggest you send the picture, and maybe the object(s), to the manufacturer and demand an explanation.
Please let us know who the manufacturer is, so if it happens to anyone else here, we can confirm it.

Re: Can support increase accuracy/definition of small featur
Great question! I think I will try again with 0.25mm nozzles, and maybe make four, each rotated 90 degrees from the last.zemlin wrote:If the back looks better ... is that related to where the printer starts the outlines? What happens if you flip the part 180 degrees on the bed?

Re: Can support increase accuracy/definition of small featur
Here is another try. The switch cover is shelled to be 0.065" thick, so I made the black lettering the entire thickness. I also increased the size of the font, and I know, the NAV LITE needs to be centered. See what you think. (I find the back might look a little better than the front.)
