Re: 'Mammoth' Part Cooler

Looks awesome, I wonder though if the height and center of gravity will have an effect on printing in general

Any time you change the bed, you need to re-level.

Re: Need help with printing outsourcing

Well, I just sent my first quote to offer my 3d printing services. I tried my best to give them a reasonable quote but I also considered wear and tear and whatnot. Re: Collaboration Opportunity with MakerGear

I love to test new stuff. Used to work in an R&D department working with plastics, mostly thermoforming Hips, PETg, APET rpet, teflon, polycarbonate, vinyl, ect...... But have not engineering experience. I do have electronics experience, making pcbs, soldering and designing boards.

Re: Need help with printing outsourcing

Thanks for the quick replies. Yeah, definitely don't want to loose money, my wife would kill me, as she already thinks it's a money drain.

Need help with printing outsourcing

I have been contacted by a company to print with a carbon fiber PLA filament. This is my first possible job, and I am not sure what to ask when setting a price for each part that is printed. They said each part is about 500g and 7.5 inches long. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Your 3d Printing work area

Lol, I just cleaned up my soldering mess, could not even see a table, and if you were to see the rest of the garage, well not so clean

I just got the ikea table and made enclosure in the last couple weeks , while the wife and kid are visiting family in Malaysia.
