Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice
I print PETG on buildtak. First layer is definitely "smushed". If I'm worried about adhesion, I'll throw some magigoo on the buildtak. I print push plastic PETG (10KG rolls) at 255c and 90c bed. I back down the bed temp to 80 after the 3rd layer and turn the fan on. I was getting too much sagging wi...

Not sure on why you can't remove it. That's a metal collar if yours is like mine. Is it possible that the threads are galled and stuck in the collar? Can you clamp the Z and twist the know?

Would you mind sharing your Config and Config_adv files? I'd like to give the upgrade a try.

Re: How is the M3 wired to the Raspberry PI?
Thanks for that. I spoke with support yesterday. There is apparently a daughter board in the mix that is not available as an upgrade. I'm assuming its a level converter to change from 5v to 3.3v for TX/RX pins. Not sure how the 5v power is being tapped to power the PI. It appears to be powered from ...

How is the M3 wired to the Raspberry PI?
I see that the M3 has an integrated Raspberry PI for octoprint next to the Rambo board housing. It does not appear to be connected through the USB port. So how is it connected?

Re: 3D Printed CoronaVirus Respirators
Thanks for the great information. In addition to being a 3D printing enthusiast (I own a Makergear M3 ID), I'm a physician in practice at a 1000 bed hospital with multiple patients currently admitted for COVID-19. We have an acute shortage of masks (surgical masks, N95 masks, and related PPE equipm...

Re: 3D Printed CoronaVirus Respirators
Reddit says its bogus. https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/fke0oz/coronavirus_3d_printing_megathread/ I'm working with a Houston Hackerspace to print visors. They're crowd sourcing (sewing?) masks with community support that I'm assuming is like the FU Mask. They're also working on a PAPR r...

Which version of Simplify 3D are you using? I had a problem with stringing on 4 and problems went away when I reverted to 3.

Re: Simplify 4.0+ issues with M3-ID
This is where I found the reference to the problem in 4.1. I've been fighting it for over a month. YMMV
