Re: Printer interface software
[...]All I want to be able to do with the tablet is start prints from the SD card like the lcd screen mods. Is there a small app that can do that? It's been a while for my memory but I'm pretty sure you can start a print from gcode on the SD card using the Quick Start app. I'm not sure if you'd hav...

Re: OctoPrint update 1.2.10 -> 1.3.0 failing
Thanks for the feedback, all. I got around to looking at the log and saw a bunch of dependency issues for the build. In case anyone else has this issue, here's what I did to install the missing deps: ~/oprint/bin/pip install https://github.com/benhoyt/scandir/archive/v1.3.zip ~/oprint/bin/pip instal...

OctoPrint update 1.2.10 -> 1.3.0 failing
Have any OctoPi/OctoPrint users tried to upgrade to 1.3.0 since the release a few days ago? I just tried it directly from the interface and the update fails and breaks the OctoPrint install. I haven't dug into it yet but I was just curious if anyone else has tried yet. Edit: This was on a fresh inst...

Ah...I see. So you want a full 3d model of this entire assembly?

The first place I'd check would be the Github repo: https://github.com/MakerGear/M2

Re: bed temperature accuracy
For the curious...when I first got my M2, I took a thermal time lapse video of the bed heating up.

Re: Stand for Bob Parker "BLUE ESR Tester"
Nice! :D Thanks, Jules :) I'm not sure if it comes across in the pics but I did have some stringing issues with PLA+. The surface finish is gorgeous so the clean-up isn't really worrying me (plus it's my new right-hand extruder and I'm super pleased being able to switch between the dual extruders f...

Stand for Bob Parker "BLUE ESR Tester"
Thought I'd share another one for anyone that has this meter. Printed in eSun black PLA+: empty.jpg inserted.jpg The case is one of the 1553 series from Hammond Manufacturing and they helpfully provide the .IGS and .STP files. So I ran the STEP through 3D Transform's online service and generated the...

Ring light for Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L macro lens
It's something I've wanted for a while and had a bunch of white LEDs lying around waiting for a project. Printed in eSun solid black PETG: assembled.jpg I originally planned to get a PCB made from OSHPark but it wasn't really cost-effective: pcb.png So I just made a 3D-printed part and point-to-poin...
