Re: Minor design flaw on M2 Rev E.
How long has this been a known issue? I don't have the printer documentation with me right now but I don't remember reading anything about this in the user guide nor do I remember seeing a warning on the printer advising to align the clip in a certain way (this is were I would expect this type for t...

Minor design flaw on M2 Rev E.
I just noticed that under certain conditions, the bed hold-down clips will collide with the X axis rail hold-down bolt nuts (see attached picture). This will happen when the parts being printed are close to the rear edge of the bed and when the clip is angled just right. Perhaps I am being unreasona...

Help with printing water tight container.
Hello, Say that you would like to print a simple cup/bucket (like this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:416959/#files) that needs to be water tight. How would you configure the printer settings to achieve water tightness? I tried using the default MakerGear Simplify3D setting but my buckets are lea...

Re: Natural PLA transparency level.
I was hoping that the natural PLA color would be somewhat transparent but just looking at your pictures I can see that this is not the case at all.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: What is the safest way to reload filament?
Jules, Thank you for the very detailed explanation, it was very helpful..... unfortunately for me, the time finally came to change the filament and despite your great instructions the inevitable ended up happening... I still ended up screwing things up. Specifically, somehow, I ended up with a piece...

Natural PLA transparency level.
Hello, Could someone share pictures of parts printed using the MakerGear natural PLA color? I would like to get a feel for how transparent the PLA natural color is before buying a roll (assuming its transparent at all). Assuming that the natural PLA has transparent properties, what are some paramete...

What is the safest way to reload filament?
Hello, I am about to finish up my very first PLA filament roll and need to get ready to reload a fresh PLA roll. I searched the web and I see that there are multiple ways of reloading filament but what I would like to know is the preferred and safest way for beginners to reload filament on an M2 mac...

Re: Do I need the bed factory applied Kapton for PLA?
Thanks Jules, PEI looks pretty good but I am not sure that I am ready to tackle the process of applying PEI to the bed at this time (seems like a difficult process). I am a complete noob and I would rather stick with the complete basics for now. To deal with stuck parts, I currently take the bed (af...

Do I need the bed factory applied Kapton for PLA?
Hello, As a noob to the 3D printer world, my plan is to stick with PLA for the foreseeable future. That said, is there a point for me to be using the factory installed Kapton tape that comes glued to the glass bed? I ask this because I have been reading that for printing PLA the way to go is to use ...
