Re: Max safe temp for V3a?
I tried to take it apart to torch the nozzle, but the ceramic crumbled to pieces. Rather than fix it, I just switched over to the E3D since I didn't want to spend the $$$ to upgrade to 24V and a new hot end at the same time.

Re: Max safe temp for V3a?
I tried mine at 240 and out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw it twist. When I manually extruded, it went BANG, a huge puff of smoke came out of it and sprayed some weird pinkish substance all over the build plate. It was very difficult to clean off. Needless to say, that was it for that hot ...

Re: Suddenly no fans or extruder heat
And here I thought I was the only one that has stuck a hex driver into one of the fans - maybe even more than once! I am relieved to know I'm not alone, and I'm also not the only Star Trek geek on here! I was just about to print stands for my phaser and communicator prop replicas when I blew up my m...

Re: Suddenly no fans or extruder heat
Dammit Jim - it's dead! (I have been waiting a long time to use that reference!) I had no idea those nano fuses were there. Sure enough, one had infinite resistance, and when I swapped the two, the fans fired right up! I didn't test the other functionality for fear of blowing something else up, but ...

Suddenly no fans or extruder heat
I'm hoping someone can give me some clues for figuring out what has happened. I will be submitting a support request, but thought I'd try here too. I have a pre-assembled 12V/19V M2 from June of 2013. It has be working great ever since I got it and has been incredibly reliable. Suddenly upon startup...

Re: SpaceMouse/SpaceNavigator
Jim, are you using the navigator in Rhino for the Mac or are you running it on a windows machine? I'm pretty sure you use both and I can't seem to find any confirmation that it works properly in OS 10.9.

Latest big print
Terminator exoskull from Thingiverse, PLA, around 8 inches tall. Took about 8 hours to print.

Re: About MakerGear Video
Personally, I'd like to see Rick, Karen and Josh. With the support you provide and the speed of which you do so, I am just as intrigued by the people behind the product as I am the machine itself. 3 minutes is super-short on a project like this, but maybe a quote from each of you would add the human...

Nice job Pyro. Looks like it came that way and great choice of color!
