Printing that Slants

My issues have been few and far between with my M2 until lately. Print out tabs for my diver rings, these tabs are small. Print starts off OK, then slants at an angle that makes the parts un-useable. Slant.jpg Everything is tight, replaced the extruder motor holder, extruder drive and it's prints of...

Re: Patent agent recommendation?

Patents can be circumvented with a 30% change to the original patented design.
Patents didn't protect Apple, when Samsung jumped all over them.
It will slow those who copy down and that's about the best you can hope for.

Re: Part Pulled Chip Out of Glass

Flip the glass plate over. Put in a freezer to get prints to pop off super easy.
Prying, or freezing? Freezing is a lot easier.

Re: Patent agent recommendation?

Time and strength is for polycarb injection molding. Takes an hour to print one spoon out of pricey PET+. ABS breaks from the strike of a large fish. 3D printing will never have the structural integrity of injection molded parts. Test.jpg The spoon is lifting approx 55 pounds, that's .077" thick wit...

Re: Patent agent recommendation?

2 things, is your invention unique? Most importantly: will it sell and make money? Then, do a patent search to make sure your invention has not been registered already. I answered the hybird's pm in more detail and forwarded the below link to at: http://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/sear...

Re: Action cam mount

Video compression thru my editor is fine, compression coming out of You Tube leaves a lot to be desired. My Sonys are stationary and the scene moves. Having the cam move on a bike and capture video at the same time could be too pixels for the onboard processor to digest. My A10s shoot clear out to t...

Re: Action cam mount

GoPros are the big deal, found Sony to be equal and surpass in several areas compared to the black version GoPro. Don't have the new GoPro and won't be buying one either. To get results like on the TV show, Gold Rush, GoPros are highly modified lens with extra power wired in. Battery life on the bla...

Re: Print ABS

Glue stick just doesn't do much for me. Hairspray for PET+, ABS, and PLA on
the bed does me fine. I know many can do great with glue stick, but the few times
I used it, prints did not adhere to glass build bed good.

Going to PET+ cures many ills presented by ABS.

Re: Patent Pending

Test.jpg Manufacturing parts using 3D printer can work, as long as the part is not subject to a lot of stress. My spoons can lift more then 55 pounds of lead. No 3D part, the same thickness can match injection molding strength of polycarb. Spoon are .077" thick and even where the snap dug into the ...
