Re: M3 ID V0 Probe upgrade install

G28 actually does home. G29 is what does auto leveling. Nope. Not on my printer. "G28 Z" will "home" the bed by probing the center position only. "G28" with no arguments homes X & Y, then probes at least 6 points. I've done this several times. Perhaps it's a bug but that's what it does right now. W...

Re: M3 ID V0 Probe upgrade install

One side effect of the upgrade seems to be a shift in the Y axis of some 20 mm. Anyone else notice this? Also, G28 now does a multi-point probing of the entire bed, every time. I find this really annoying, it takes a long time, and I doubt the bed is going to go out of level all that quickly. I can...

Re: M2 rev.E - black z motor leadscrew pitch?

Hey thanks for that great idea. I actually had a noctua fan that was the exact right size for the psu laying around. I just put it in and the psu is at least 1000 times less noisy than it used to be. Awesome! edit: ill upload the z spring when I upload the parts for adapting to the duet very nice. ...

Re: M2 rev.E - black z motor leadscrew pitch?

Yep, thinking of getting the duet ethernet board to try out. This is the fan I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NQMESS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 60mmx25mm. Only red and black wires are used. Just splice to existing connector. Fan fits right in and barely hear it. Also PSU ...

Re: M2 rev.E - black z motor leadscrew pitch?

Thank you. I didn't work with duet before but it seems doable.

Btw you can replace PSU fan. I replaced mine with Noctua and its much quieter now.

Re: Why not update FW for M2 printers?

I have just recently upgraded a *very* early version of the M2 to the latest 1.x Marlin release with BLTouchSupport. The only outstanding issue is false thermal runaway errors on the bed heater. I've currently got thermal protection for the bed heater disabled, but plan to work on getting a real fi...
