Re: Printing holes to fast
Thanks. I switched the outline direction as you suggested and I made the print head a couple thousands closer. It is doing better.

Re: world maker faire NY who is goin...
For what it's worth I did do a print that filled the M2's bed. It was a sand mold positive for a small gearbox. It weighed almost 2 kilograms when it was done and stood 6" tall, with something like a 7.5 x 9.5" footprint (I couldn't use skirt on the default settings without going off the bed). It t...

Re: ABS printing surface
For alum you should get mic6 tooling plate. Its cast and stress free so it stays flat when its heated and cooled. You can get it from mcmaster or online metals. Its machined on both sides. You will need to find someone with a blast cabinet to glass bead it for you and cut to exact size I have it cu...

Re: Ninjaflex seems to work in the V4!
Last night I printed want I think is fake Ninjaflex it is Flex CyncronixPLA. I have V4 hot end on my printer. I slowed down the printing as suggested and used the ABS temps. It does not have enough stiffness to hold the Teflon tube up. Without the rigging it would just fall over. I did a Temp riggin...

Thanks for the info? My blade is carbide and I think it is 80 tooth but I will have to check. I have never done abrasive blasting but I could see where it could come in handy. Does this look like it would work. Portable Abrasive Blaster Kit http://www.harborfreight.com/portable-abrasive-blaster-kit-...
