Z motor or its driver damaged?
Hey everyone, I just started using Octoprint and had to kill a print before it was done, but I'm not familiar with the controls of octo yet, so I cancelled the print and wanted to move the nozzle away from the print while it was still hot so I just turned the knob on the top of the lead screw to low...

Re: Testing waters to sell some of my production machines
Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm interested in upgrading my electronics and didn't realize there was a "sort-of" drop-in solution that I could do. Do you have any information or links you used to do your upgrade to the Archim2 board with TMC5160 drivers? Also, I cant find that board on the ultim...

Re: Marlin 2.0 Firmware for M2 Dual Rev D/E
I've been running Marlin v2.0.x for sometime now and had to disable Linear Advance early on. It seems to be broken with Junction_Deviation and even with Classic Jerk when they moved to LA v1.5. There appears to be a couple issues logged on Github for this. Mine sounded like it was going to beat my ...

Re: Perfectly flat borosilicate
I went down this path when I first got my M2. Its likely easier (if its possible) nowadays, to find perfectly flat boro. I ended up deciding that it was less critical that I had initially thought. Now I almost always print with a sheet of PEI clipped directly to the heat bed itself, and have had ver...

Re: Cool LED Mod for M2?
Here is what I've done for LED mods. I have bare tape lighting on the printer itself, for illuminating the print. For the enclosure, I have aluminum corner extrusion with tape lighting inside of a frosted lens. I have dimmer circuits for both the printer lighting and the enclosure lighting. If I'm p...

Re: Steppers acting weird
My logic behind trying out the negative value for steps was that if it didn't work as I anticipated, that I could simply reverse the change that I had made (no pun intended) and there was no real risk to testing that theory out. What I find really strange (besides that the arduino is stubborn and wo...
