Ah yeah you are right - PET+ is $35/lb, not per kilo, so its twice as expensive as ABS/PETG.
(I was wondering how my spool looked so empty so soon.. it started that way !)

Re: Material Suggestions for daily use (consumer products)
I think there is only 1 place to get each. PETG is by Intoservo, search these forums, they have a 10% off code. PET+ is by MadeSolid. Both are available on Amazon too. PET+ has many more colors (and opaques) available. Not sure about PETG settings, but there is a PET+ S3D profile specifically for th...

Re: Material Suggestions for daily use (consumer products)
I really liked PET+. It adheres to the bed better than ABS (or at least, doesn't warp and pull itself off). Doesn't shrink like ABS does, so I'm not constantly second guessing about how over/undersize to model things. I haven't tested the temperature resistance, but I doubt the companies are lying i...

Re: Is it worth buying the kit just for "experience?"
I got the kit, and really enjoyed putting it together. But I like building things sufficiently much that I probably would have gotten a kit version, even if it cost exactly the same as pre-assembled. If you like building things, then I think the kit is definitely worth it - $300 is $300, and its a f...

Re: Helping Me out
Simplify3D is amazing, I'd recommend that. Spares for the printer itself are just nice-to-haves, but not super neccessary. I've only had a couple of jams in the hotend, and was able to clear them without needing any new parts. Printing a spare motor-mount is useful, as they had a habbit of cracking,...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure
The power supply is rated to around 50 or 60C so is probably the safest part. The Rambo I couldn't find a good number on. There was a thread about enclosures on here or maybe it was the Google group where someone got random cutouts of the controller is an enclosure got too warm. I recall it wasn't v...

Re: M2 NinjaFlex Simplify3D Profile
No, V4 is the very latest (preorders for them were sent out ~1 week ago) hotend design from Makergear. e3d is a third-party hotend design that people have retrofitted onto their M2's They are both very good (the v3b is fine too, the V4 is just the 'new shiny' for many of us - there are other threads...

If you search on YouTube for the video of someone who did this, the description has links.

Re: PET+ on V4
Thanks for your help Jim. I think the problem is with filament diameter. I reamed the extruder out a bit with a 2mm drillbit, and it removed a small amount of plastic. Got about 10 layers into a print this time before jamming. In its jammed state the point the filament was feeding in measured 1.90mm...

Re: Extruder fan... what is the 2pin connector called ?
And the DigiKey Part Numbers:
Connector (fan side, plastic part only): WM2761-ND
Remember to buy pins too: WM2781CT-ND
I got 4 connectors, 10 pins (spares of everything), was $6.50, shipped.
