Re: best add on control panel

Here's a link to Tom Sanladerer's Guide to Octoprint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwsxO3ksxm4

And here's a link to Adafruit Raspberry Pi I'm using https://www.adafruit.com/products/3055

You will also need a 5v power supply/usbcharger and a micro sd card.

Re: best add on control panel

For me the OctoPi was dead simple to setup and use. The latest Raspberry Pi has built in WiFi that make setup a breeze. You only need to edit one config file to add your network settings. I also switched two of the axes in the default profile so the arrows moved the bed in the correct direction. Con...

Re: v4 Hot End Indicator Mount

Is 0-0.03 inches enough range? Seems like it would be tough to get the bed locked at the right level.

I just bought one myself, maybe we can work through the setup.

Re: How To: Z-Adjust App for Rev.E machines

This is the link to the Z-Adjust Application for the Rev.E machines. This application allows you to re-set your Starting Height using metric feeler gauges to fine-tune the gap for the first layer for improved appearance. The Z-Adjust App does not run through the Leveling process. The blue plastic f...

Re: Hair balls aren't good

It sounds like you are having an issue getting the first layer to stick.
Have you cleaned the build plate between prints and with what?
You also might want to double check the bed level to make sure something didn't shift when you pulled completed prints off the build plate.

MakerGear PLA Temperature

Is the MakerGear PLA that ships with the printer really temperature insensitive or am I doing a temperature test wrong? I printed this 15x15x60 block starting the bottom layer temperature at 220. I set S3D to lower the temp 2.5 degrees every 25 layers until 190. I can't see any difference from the t...

Re: New and different dual extruder idea

Thanks for the fast reply Tim!

Did you find the Smoothie improved your M2 prints?

I found a large improvement on on my delta when I switched to a smoothie, but I read it didn't do as much for a cartesian printer.
