Why use 19v for RAMBo?
My 8 years old M2 came with two bricks PSU, a Dell 12v 18a for heatbed and a 19v 6a for everything else even though all the fans are rated 12v. I'm curious as why did Makergear use 19v? I'm in the process of adding E3D Titan and V6 hotend to the M2. I'll be replacing 19v brick with a Meanwell 12v 12...

Re: M2 Z Knob
https://github.com/MakerGear/M2/blob/master/Printed%20Parts/STL/Hardware%20Revision%20E/Z%20Knob.STL Not sure on why you can't remove it. That's a metal collar if yours is like mine. Is it possible that the threads are galled and stuck in the collar? Can you clamp the Z and twist the know? The litt...

Re: TPU Filament Drive Jammed
The filament is sort of a hybrid between PLA and TPU, it's stiff and yet flexible. It printed nicely without problem after up the temperature from 185C to 210C.insta wrote:I don't think you'll get TPU out of a V3a. The melt zone is too long.

TPU Filament Drive Jammed
I'm experimenting with this TPU filament https://goo.gl/iDUQVi, it's more like flexible PLA than true TPU. It prints very nicely, however filament drive would jammed randomly out of nowhere, see photo. Any idea how it would jammed like this? 20180212_164827.jpg Here is my Slicer settings. Thanks sni...

Re: Dial Indicator Quick Mount
I see what you're saying. With all those bolts locking the rail on to X axis frame, plus M2 is built like a tank. So the X axis frame should be parallel to the actual rail. I just finished a large print job 11x19x9 cm that took 17 hours and bed level works fine. Your millage may varies.

This design use X axis frame itself as the rail, see detail on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2788576

Re: 1st Gen M2 12V Fans Run on 19V?
I print mostly in ABS and don't really print all that much. Both E3D and V4 options require more mod time than I have right now. For the time being, I'll take on Ed's offer and will look into upgrade to 24V setup later. Thanks for all the inputs.

Re: 1st Gen M2 12V Fans Run on 19V?
If the wire going to the MOSFET is shorted to ground, then the heater will start heating up. However, because the MOSFET / thermistor / RAMBo aren't in control, the heater will continue geting hotter until it burns out. So, by and large, Something Bad happened to the extruder heater wiring. You mus...
