Re: Printing QR codes
Can you zip and post your .STL? I think i may have an idea on how to insist on Slic3r to infil this area... I don't have the file with me...it is on my home workstation. I will do this once I get home. Edit: I have Simplify3D, not Slic3r. I might take a look at this, but will still send you the fil...

Printing QR codes
I have set out on a quest to print QR codes. I have found a few areas where there is demand for printed QR codes, so I am gonna tackle this project. I was wondering if anyone here has attempted this and what their results where. I am going to be experimenting with them over the next few weeks and po...

Anyone have any experience with BuildTak?
I have very good luck with hair spray for getting my models to stick. But, I always explore and search for new ideas and ran across this: http://www.amazon.com/BuildTak-Printing-Build-Surface-Rectangle/dp/B00MN5X084/ref=sr_1_5?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1426506659&sr=1-5 Was wondering if anyone had an...

Re: Edges of part are lifting up
Well, it turned out to be a variety of issues. The bed was slightly out of level front to back, so I leveled that up. I sprayed a much healthier helping of hairspray on the glass, which also helped. There was a temperature variance between the front of the printer platform and the back, so I constru...

Re: Edges of part are lifting up
Cooling is useful for PLA mostly because it has a tendency to curl up on overhanging surfaces unless the plastic is cooled immediately and dramatically. But that doesn't seem to be your current issue. My take is that your bed is not sufficiently level, and the rear is slightly farther from the bed ...

Re: Edges of part are lifting up
Yeah, but PLA doesn't behave like a normal plastic, it barely contracts as it cools. Also, make sure your glass bed is VERY clean (hot water, dish soap, multiple scrubbings until it's legitimately perfectly clean front & back), then apply a heavy layer of hairspray, and only then place it on the pr...

Re: Edges of part are lifting up
I will give that a try, but I don't think it will work. The back end of the printer is currently the cooler end, adding a fan will cause it to cool even quicker. The front of the printer is away from the wall and is where the part had perfect adhesion to the glass. Unless my logic is wrong. I envisi...

Edges of part are lifting up
Hello everyone! Whenever I print a larger part with a large, flat surface...the edges lift up and start to warp. I print PLS @215, bed at 60. My printer is located in my basement right off of the garage. I am thinking that I need to build an enclosure to keep the temperature constant. The print I ma...
