Re: Simplify 3d fff settings
No Problem, I know the level of frustration with S3D.. and guess what, they claim to be releasing a new version and I am sure everything I have leaned will be null and void when 4.1 is released.. Oh and there will be no documentation..

Re: Simplify 3d fff settings
Well I am not judging, and not an expert, just stating the facts I learned over the past 6 months in one statement. To reload the original config file, go to Help > Configuration Assistant and walk through the wizard to install the default profile. It will not alter the profiles you already have. If...

Re: Simplify 3d fff settings
Sorry to tell you this, but 3D printing is not like printing a word doc.. it is trial and error until you learn how to set up your slicer.. Every model is a little different.. on size does not fit all.. Rather steep learning curve, especially with S3D.. I just did this starting last Feb.. so stop lo...

Re: OctoPrint Temps stuck on "Off"
I didn't see what version of the OS and Octoprint you are using.. is it all up to date? If not that would be my next move. I am running Octoprint Version 1.3.9 on a Pi3B+ which I run apt-get update; apt-get upgrade every couple of weeks to keep it current. Connected to M2 with USB and Pi is hardwire...

Re: OctoPrint Temps stuck on "Off"
So do you have the timelaps turned off? I am fairly sure rendering a 20 hour time laps would bring the pi to it's knees for a LONG time

Re: OctoPrint Temps stuck on "Off"
You may want to post this in the octoprint forum https://discourse.octoprint.org/ I have noticed it hangs and won't let me do anything until the time laps has finished rendering. However this is only 10 -20 seconds on non response. Is your OS and Octoprint all up to date? I have also seen it become ...

Re: Streaking on the surface finish of PETG print
where are the strings occurring? Normally that is when the head leaves one part of the print and travels to another portion of the print or another model that is being printed at the same time, without printing in between..

Re: Streaking on the surface finish of PETG print
HA! I am not expert, just like you learning all the time.. check your print time after you change that.. will go up considerably depending on how much traveling the print head does when not printing..

Re: Streaking on the surface finish of PETG print
on the stringing.. you can greatly reduce it by lowing the x/y speed in S3D under the speed tab. Default is 300mm/s and of course this will increase print time. I lowered mine on one print that was stringing (not sure which material was using) to 200 and the stings were gone.. took a lot longer to p...
