Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E
Nice job on the case. I should have turned the board like you did rather than having all the cables crossing the board like the Rambo did.

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E
HI Doug, while you're at it, you might reprise your reasons for the modification. Jeremy had replaced his board due to failure and he said the Duet made for almost silent printing and the hole sizes seemed to be closer to being accurate. There was NO really good reason to do this. The board is more...

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E
Jeremy, I put the printer back in the enclosure and am in the process of printing a new Duet board cover that I altered a bit, this time in PETG as ABS did warp a little. The top surface of the print is smoother and nicer than any top surface printed in PETG with the .75 nozzle, so far so good! I ha...

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E

Yes, that is great news, glad it went well!
I am going to try and ignore the elephant that is sitting on the table next to me for a couple days, I need to chill a bit.. I get rather obsessed about projects, especially when they take longer than I think they should
Thanks again!
Doug

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E
The Z steps that are in the config that I posted to the Duet forum will be the ones that I’m using. I didn’t mess with them at all while I was getting it all up and running. I arrived on the new value by using a digital dial indicator to verify that the bed was travelling what I was instructing it ...

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E
Hey Where did you get this value for steps per mm on Z in your config (from duet forum post) and are you using this value or did it get changed. It does not match the supposid value in the old Marlin config found on the old makergear m2 firmware site which I have listed below Your config M92 X88.89...
