Re: Filament Drive
There aren't too many things going on with a filament drive it should be possible to chase down what is happening. If the shaft turns when you hit 'extrude' in your software-of-choice then the motor is working. If not then check all the cables etc. If the shaft turns but the gear doesn't, then that ...

Re: threaded locking-insert for Z-stop screw
Seems like there is enough space between the plate and the z-stop that you could fit a printed plastic part in there that screwed down with the M4, and allowed a second bolt to screw directly into the ABS. I wonder if the ABS (or your filament of choice) acts similar to any nylock material, ie would...

Re: The Trials and Tribulations of my first ABS prints
Z endstop is the same no matter what filament you load. The exact filament diameter, and extrusion multipliers vary for every different spool of plastic - check the thread mentioned above for the best ways to calibrate those.

If they both have the same origin, then you should be able to position one of them manually, then open the position/size settings, and copy over the exact x/y/z Absolute Positioning settings from that part, to the other part.

Re: V4 vs V3B actual temp
Many users here had first exposure to extrusion temperatures with our very first M2 print, and the documentation all tell us to 'use temp X on v3, or temp Y on v3b' so we subconsciously just start to believe that real temperature is never the same as the number we type into s3D. Perhaps the reality ...
Re: esun petg
Infill ext width 100%
Infill 20% (w/ 15% outline overlap)
245C extrusion (on 70C bed, seemed to stick fine)
I didn't have the bed fan on, perhaps worth trying again with that on
The 20% Infill looked fine, from memory.

Re: esun petg
Had anyone had problems with top layer infill getting all messed up, and not laying down properly. Started printing with some petg using the settings floating around in this thread last night. Perimeters, base and infill all went down beautifully - but when it went to fill over the top of the infill...

Re: Filament Jam
Check the extruder tension screw. Docs say it should be quite tight for ABS, but loose for PLA. One page suggested there should be ~1mm gap on the V3B extruder. Check the filament diameter, I recently had an issue where some waaay oversize (1.91mm) filament physically couldn't fit through the feed h...

Re: Two printers, one computer?
Octoprint is just control software, that happens to have a web interface. Where it really shines, and what most of us typically mean when we talk about Octoprint, is running it from a raspberry pi. Running it on on your laptop, or some other standalone computer has limited merit - its probably easie...

From the V4 thread (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1606&start=60) Rick suggests the official rating will be 260C, but they used them at 290C before without issue.
