Re: What are your default print speeds in S3D?

Thx, Will, for the input. Your numbers seem reasonable from my experience. Here’s an interesting analysis of actual print speeds (along w/ other aspects of printing). ‘Printing Speed’ is 50 mm/s, but the histogram shows most of the time the speed it 25 followed closely by 40. Avg. speed reported at ...

Re: What are your default print speeds in S3D?

100 mm/s huh? For PLA, I've printed at 100 on DeltaMaker deltas, but nominal is 60. Prints often suffer at 100, so I generally go 60 give or take depending on the geometry.

Anybody else wanna chime in? TIA...

Thx.

Yeah, I'm OK w/ delving into the firmware realm, and am already in a bit. As for the waveform, yeah, poor excuse for a square wave:) Will clean it up w/ a cap - suggestions on were, and values? TIA.

Having fun:)...

Re: Layer shift? (Tried some things, but to no avail.)

Thx, Insta. I see. Yes, Simplify3D has 'Retraction Vertical Lift', which I am aware of, and is set to 1.0mm for the DeltaMaker at my makerspace. Just checked the MGM2 profile, and RVL is surprisingly 0.0mm. I can see how no retraction could push things around sometimes. I will make the change and le...

Layer shift? (Tried some things, but to no avail.)

Greetings MGers, We've all been there! Or at least many of us have. Anywho... Shift is abrupt, and intermittent, in x, or y. Typically minor shift (unacceptable, though), but once was quite pronounced. Checked setscrew, and belts: OK. Read of possible issue w/ firmware bug, but could use more detail...

Re: Fan only full-OFF or full-ON. Tried 12V, & 24V fans. Hm?

Thx for the prompt reply, Insta. I will follow your directions. As noted in OP, PSU is 24V, and I have 24V 40mm, & 50mm fans. As for ON/OFF behavior, I can check firmware, but I did scope the 50mm fan and got a PWM waveform (if they wanna call it that:)). https://scontent.ftpa1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1....

Have managed to get the printer printing, but still have some issues ...
