Thanks, never tried to crimp pins.jsc wrote:You can get new fan connectors if you know how to crimp pins: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1493
Third wire is a tachometer wire, for feedback on fan RPM. You can leave it unattached.

Re: Dual extruder fans -- need to replace
So I got myself some replacement fans. Now I am faced with the question of how to connect them. It seems that the MG connector is not a standard? Any recommendations how to go about this (other than stripping the connector from the old fan and soldering it to the new fan cables? Also, one of these f...

Re: Problems printing with PETG
Its working beautifully now. Not sure which of these did the trick, but for now I am happy enough to let it be.Jules wrote: You're probably close, try slowing it down to 3000 mm/min, and increase the extruder temps by a couple of degrees. And check that tension again.
Thanks again!

Re: Problems printing with PETG
Every time i have had a problem extruding PETG it was the result of incorrect filament drive screw tension. Whatever you are using for for your PLA tension, you need to tighten the tension for PETG by about one fifth of a revolution of the screw. The tooth marks need to be just catching, but they d...

Problems printing with PETG
Hi, I started printing with PETG about a week ago. I read carefully Jules' post about PETG, and followed the settings he gave there. I got a set of wonderful prints with no errors and printed several days with the same spool with great success. I guess my happiness was premature. For the last three ...

Re: New and different dual extruder idea
If you go for two separate heads, why not have them on two separate belts? as far as I can see, you can put two belt drives in parallel (add one behind the current one) and have one carriage with longer extension backward. The price is that you have another motor and need firmware changes. The bene...

Re: Dual extruder fans -- need to replace
2. The 24v fan -- is it possible that this is a fan problem or a problem on the board? any way to test? I would suggest just connecting it directly to a 24V supply to see if it's the fan or the board. There are several possibilities---one is that the fan is just dead; another is the fan is just not...

Dual extruder fans -- need to replace
Hi, Mucking around with my M2 dual extruder I manage to break few wings on the 12V fan (the one that sits on the two extruders). And now the 24v seem to have died. Few questions: 1. Where can I get replacement fans? recommended models? 2. The 24v fan -- is it possible that this is a fan problem or a...

Re: Favorite Print Surface?
We have been testing various print surfaces and beds and intend to ship machines with the bed ready to use (rather than having to apply tape). Since we ship with PLA the surface needs to at least work with PLA. Being easy to apply is a big plus. Please let me know what you are using and/or any sugg...
