Re: Perfect Print Pry Up Tool for PEI, MIC6 or bare glass

I use a pallet knife that I picked up for a couple bucks at a local hobby shop.
Its not sharp at all, so I don't feel like it could scratch my PEI bed.
I'm too impatient and would probably scratch up the bed using that knife.

Re: S3D raft sticks to parts

Thanks for the help everyone!
Turning up the bed temp to 100 did the trick. Turns out I didn't need a raft or skirt.

This ePC is nice once you figure it out :D

Wow, I didn't know the bed went that high. Did you boil an egg while printing? :D

Re: S3D raft stick to parts

I was having trouble with my first ePC print sticking so I tried to use a raft.
I'll try a brim tonight and see if that helps.

Thanks!

S3D raft stick to parts

Can anyone help me with raft setting for S3D?
Every time I use one the top layer of the raft breaks apart and sticks to the bottom of the part.
Here are my setting I'm pretty sure they are the default.
I'm using .2mm layers.
Thanks!

Re: Octoprint No serial port

Did you use the OctoPi image on this page? http://octoprint.org/download/

Also did you have the M2 powered up and connected while you powered up the Pi?

Other than edit the network config file, that's all I did to get octoprint working.

Re: New and different dual extruder idea

That's funny this was posted today as I was using two clamped mounts and a drill press to make a reversed mount myself. I printed a 2.4mm spacer to go between the upright parts of the mounts to get the spacing. Make sure you use lots of oil and a sharp bit when drilling the steel. My reversed mount ...

Re: S3D 3.1

I also saw this guide posted on reddit to have S3D save a copy of gcode directly to your Octopi. http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/simplify3d-octoprint-gcode-direct-to-octoprint-setup.8217/ It worked great for me, no more drag and drop every time I want to print. -Tom " You will need the...

Re: best add on control panel

Can't help with a mac but I didn't need a monitor. I just loaded the image to the SD card and edited the network config file. After placing the SD in the Pi and powering it up I had access from a web browser.
