Re: Bowed Gantry?
alright. I think I got it all squared away, not sure if it was the best, but I put a a .006" shim in the center and had to progressively put smaller shims going out. Putting a single shim in the center gave me almost like a "W" shaped rail when the screws where all tightened up. I'm down to .0015" i...

Bowed Gantry?
Hey guys, who has bowed down gantry's? I'm talking the x-rail here where the print head sits on. I've been chasing a level build plate for a few days now, and thought I had a bowed glass, always high in the center, but I busted out my straight edge rule I use in my garage for checking engine block a...

Re: Mic 6 tooling plate
True, its just so darn sexy on the M2. I dable with some machine work, and I just love aluminum. I've only encounter a few issues trying to print something at capacity of the plate, but nothing I couldn't overcome with a squished 1st layer. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this, see what else you gu...

Re: Mic 6 tooling plate
shucks, might have to hit you up for one in a few months. Seems like this is the absolute solution to all the adhesion and levelness problems? just spray some hairspray and good to go?
I print mostly pla and PETG, but want to try ePC and nylon.

Re: Mic 6 tooling plate
So those who are using the plate, anyone has seen issues with the Z-motor struggling? Someone mentioned it might be an issue. I'm really tempted to try one of these, but I still have a zebra plate and PEI I haven't had a chance to use yet. I'm running a production run of parts of pla on glass, and i...

Re: Convince me to buy the M2...
I don't think you will regret it. Everyone above are spot on. If numbers are your thing, I've had my M2 for the past 4 months and have not had a single failure with 500 plus hours of print time and about 1 mile of filament through it (history taken from OctoPrint). I was debating at first what spare...

Re: Couple questions before purchase
How reliable is the printer, when I mean reliable I mean how often does it mess up the print? My parts are small, about 9.5" in length flat, about 1/2" in height and 1-2" in width. I've only owned a M2, but since I've got it in October, I've put in about 250 hours of print time, and have a 77% prin...

Re: Filament snapped above extruder gear???
Have you tried baking the filament? i know that recommendation was thrown around a year ago, people seemed more inclined to bake than wait on desiccant. but considering PLA's low glass point, you would have to bake at like 150 or less. your description of random brittle spots mixed with soft filame...

Re: Filament snapped above extruder gear???
Just a quick update, I've completely used up this roll, and have had continuous issues with it snapping. Bizarre thing is that when it snaps, the adjacent areas are also brittle, however, the further away from the snap, the softer the filament. On my more recent prints, as I got near the end of the ...
