Re: Why can't S3D slice it? Cura can.

So I own Simplify 3D but I would also like to use Cura as it does some things better, I think anyway. Are there profiles for the M2 that are available for Cura?

Re: Recommendations On A 3D Scanner?

In a nutshell, unfortunately there is no, good, cheap fast way to get a 3D copy ready for your printer. The Autodesk 123 Catch program may be of some use. http://www.123dapp.com/catch Sooner or later your going to want to do your own design and need to learn a 3D program. I started out with TinkerCA...

Z axis Bearings

My TAZ 5 is for sale, pending a sale I will be moving over to a new M2. Are the Linear bearings for the Z axis plastic or ball? The Parts list calls them out as 10 mm. Thanks.

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

And that does make sense. I personally would think the 3 mm would be easier to feed because of its larger diameter giving more area for the hobbed bolt or gear to hang onto. That's about where the benefits end. If you think about the volumetric precision, the 1.75mm filament is much more accurate t...

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

The 3mm "v4" you keep finding online is a generic hotend from Arcol.hu. He is coincidentally up to his 4th version as well. It has nothing to do with the M2 in any way and is not going to bolt up at all. I've actually used it on another machine, it works pretty well, but that's incidental. I say se...

Impressed. How many changes are needed and is the thermistor compatible with the electronics? I thought I saw a listing online for the V4 in 3 mm.

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

I have 8 or 10 rolls of 3 mm in my inventory. If I try to sell it would be lucky to get 1/2 price for it. Purchased a TAZ 5 used and it was like new, but its really too big and I think the M2 would be better for my purposes. I need some thing portable and easy to move, the TAZ 5 is not that machine....

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

So can it be purchased for the M2 and in 3 mm? I have something in mind but If I am going to a M2 I want it to be first class with the latest hotend.

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

Is the V4 a MakerGear part as I see references to it on a Google search anyway?

This is all I found > arcol.hu hotend v4.1.1 If it was in stock it would be either 1.75 or 3.0 mm and .35 or .50 nozzle size. I keep seeing references to it on here but no place to purchase?

Re: Changing a M2 from 1.75 to 3.0 mm Filament

So its as simple as printing one part and purchasing the new v4 hot end? Nothing else required and just $65 cost. Not a bad deal. Anyone have any suggestions about encountered problems??
