What Sticks to Ninjaflex?
I need to build a part that has a rigid base and a soft, flexible body, (shotgun butt-pad). I intend to print one on top of the other with a dual extruder. I asked MakerGeeks what sticks to their Makerflex, and they said any type of PLA. The Makerflex is not as flexible as I may want, so, what stick...

Re: Input Requested: What are your favorite filaments?
Above all, I like 3DXTech's carbon fiber and glass fiber filled stuff; ABS, Nylon, PETG, PLA.

Re: How do *you* print a filament drive?
Here are two quick examples of difficult-to-remove supports (PETG with PLA+ support material): I am just now setting up my dual extruder, so I have not tried different filaments for support material. Why did you choose those two? Would not dissolvable support filament work better, such as HIPS or P...

Re: Switch Covers
Can you tell which were printed using a 0.35mm nozzle and which used a 0.25mm nozzle?

Switch Covers
My airplane had two broken switch covers, so I drew them in SolidWorks and printed them. I am now trying to make them look better, and I am hoping for some suggestions. I am using gray PETG with a 0.35mm nozzle, printing them on their left sides. The two on the outside have black fingernail polish a...

Re: Where Do You Buy Your Filament?
Since Rick would not want us to talk about competitors on this site, I will not mention ABS or PLA. I have tried PETG from a MO manufacturer that seems good, and you can get it for $15/kg, if you do not care what color you get. :? I have noticed that Ninjaflex from Amazon can be priced very differen...

Re: Printing in POM/Acetal/Delrin with the M2
Print Settings/Process: Temp of 258° seems good,... I think that might be a really bad idea. See here: http://gizmodorks.com/acetal-3d-printer-filament/ They recommend a maximum extrusion temperature of 230C and plenty of ventilation. They also recommend printing on wood and enclosing your printer....

Re: What 3d Modeling Software are we using?
Last year, the SolidWorks User Group I belong to brought in the Director of their Education Community. She offered a copy for $100 to any 'entrepreneur'. I have not tried to get one, since I already have access to an older copy that works well enough, but I believe the SolidWorks web site has the de...

Re: MIC6/PEI - Can I Use Gluestick or Hairspray
I was wondering if a little hairspray or glue stick glue would harm the pei. As I recall, insta called it virtually indestructible. PEI is very resistant to solvents, so glue stick and hair spray will not hurt it. If you have never read much about the various types of plastic, I would encourage you...
