Re: Y axis not zeroing

Jin, The machine was new this year so the problem you refer to was probably taken care of during the assemly phase at MakerGear because mine arrived with all the limit switch wires twisted. Dale I think you hit this on the head and sounds like its what's going on in my case. I don't know enough abou...

Re: Y axis not zeroing

Hey thanks Dale and Jin for your comments. I'll need to clarify. 1) It doesn't always happen. 2) It seems to happens if at the end of a print I physically pull the table towards the front of the M2 to easily get at the print for removal. If I start a new print with the table extended forward it star...

Y axis not zeroing

Recently my Y axis is not always zeroing before starting a print. If its allowed to continue the extruder goes off the back of the plate during a print and the table stepper motor is either grinding or skipping teeth on the belt, seems like its trying to push the table forward even though the table ...

Re: Hot extruder motor

Thanks for your reply Ed. I have a limited understanding of motor winding and the rise in current/drop in voltage but certainly not enough to tinker with outside a breadboard environment. I'm pretty sure I'd end up with a melt down if i messed with the electronics on the M2 so I'll take the word of ...

Hot extruder motor

I'm starting to run some lengthly prints and for giggles wanted to feel how warm the steppers got. Not surprised the "X" & "Y" are warm as expected but the extruder is hot to the touch and uncomfortable to hold. I have the filament feed tension screw set loose so that can't be the problem. The high ...

Re: M2 flat work

Hi Dave, that's MatterHackers light blue Pro PLA they had on clearance. I don't see it lately but they do rotate their stock. https://www.matterhackers.com/store/clearance-items

Re: M2 flat work

Thanks for all the replies and good advice on the extrusion width I had no idea and will have to look into a .25 nozzle and also note all the advice here, Thanks.

M2 flat work

I'll be doing a bunch of flat work for future projects and thought I'd share with the group some details. M2 is impressive with the fine detailing. I noticed that the model was whole when imported into S3D but then parts were missing when I looked at the slicing. I realized that S3D must be ignoring...
