Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
Tell me your 'overview' and 'ooze control' settings as well as your outline speed, I have experience in successfully getting rid of the blob. I documented my testing at http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2539. By and afar, I found that having the correct extrusion multiplier/width and c...

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
Thanks guys. Using all your advice, this seems to be about as good as I can get it. Kind of a bummer. Really appreciate everyones time!

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
Is your pla wet ? Humidity in filament can wreak havoc with quality and printability. I received my M2 new about a week ago and the filament has been mounted ever since. I live in Los Angeles, the last few days have been more humid than normal but I was having the blob issues even in the first few ...

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
If anything, the blobs are even bigger using your FFF (they just aren't in a line because start position was optimized for fastest printing). I've now used rsilvers FFF, your FFF, and my own FFF modified 10 times trying to get rid of the blobs. This is so perpelxing.. http://i.imgur.com/CNlrPe2l.jpg

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
Yeah, that's the increased infill (80% vs 15%), but i also have the printing speed slowed down a bit. If you just want to do a draft at the slightly slower print speeds (it won't add that much time) decrease the infill back down to 15%. The time difference of 80% vs 15% is only 3 minutes. The layer...

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
And we're back..... I used the concentric top layer for that shape, and upped your infill, which gives a much smoother surface result on rounded shapes. Give the settings below a try, and see if it works. PLA_MG_Black.zip Thanks mate, printing now. I'll let you know how it goes. I will say that wit...

Really appreciate it!! 3.0.1Jules wrote:Dang!
Tell you what, I'll post my Makergear Black PLA fff file in a little bit here, modified for your extrusion settings. (Which means that you can just plug it in and print.)
I need to ask you though, which version of S3D are you using?

Re: Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
Is there any way we can default the image size when people post images? With an image this big I can make neither head nor tail of what the issue is supposed to be I feel you! http://i.imgur.com/GNkQhwZl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/83jgnEQl.jpg Your layer height at .3 mm is too large for the width of 0....

Can't Eliminate Blobs at Loop Start / End?
I can't figure out how to eliminate these defects. I'm using stock MG PLA and Simply3D. I have the start point closest to a specific location so I can better observe the problem. I've printed this object 10 times, changing ooze control settings each time and nothing seems to have much effect. Retrac...

Re: Print Quality Imperfection Questions
Insta, your advice helped. The imperfections are still present but have decreased in size. I'm still having to print with a brim for long components with lots of Z depth and little bed contact area. I have been working on .1mm prints and am having a few problems. The only way I can get the first lay...
