Hey Rick,
Did you finish the instructions? I want to donate my makergear m2 to a comprehensive school but I need to replace the power supply case and the electronics enclosure with an all metal enclosure prior to donation. It would be nice if you could help me out within 2015.

Re: Z-scars? Or something else?
Software: Can you show us your settings? To much infill overlap creates trouble. Z-Lift while travelling takes to much time. The temperature might be to high or you are printing to fast. HW: 1) Mabye the screw holding the direct extruder teeth thing gripping the axis from the gear went missing/loose...

Re: HPB problems
Its broken by mechanical stress. To much bending. In my eyes this is the best solution: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001793
In the meantime just remove the complete sleeve and replace the wires.

Re: thread-locking insert for Z-stop screw
The command G28 within the "starting script" makes the printer home to zero on all axis. The last command in the default "starting script" is "G1 X180 Z0.25" which lowers the printbed from zero to 0.25mm. When Z is not in the exact position where I want it to be, I just use the knob and turn it to d...

Re: thread-locking insert for Z-stop screw
How about leaving the z-stop untouched and adjusting the z-height by software? It may be a wise choice to move the endstop to the bottom. I placed two springs around the shafts, when the z-stage goes into free fall the springs prevent the "smack" onto the z-stepper. Now I could imagine the z-endstop...

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament
After five rolls of PETG, the V3b Hotend looks unhappy, there is plastic passing through the thread. Temperature is set to 250 °C all the time. Anyone having the same issues?

Re: Has anyone changed the fan in their power supply?
The fan inside the power supply is powered by a separate 12V line. I replaced the stock fan with a NOCTUA NF-A6x25 FLX.

Try Meshlab. Simply use “Import Mesh” to open all your .stl files. Navigate to Filters -> Layer and Attribute Management -> Flatten Visible Layers’ Click “apply” Export Mesh as… -> merged.stl - Download Meshlab here, and yes, it crashes a lot, thats why its called Crashlab: http://meshlab.sourceforg...

Re: New Nozzle Settings
A layer interval that results in an width/height ratio below 1.2...1.5 may cause issues with layers bonding. The maximum width you can extrude in a controllable way is roughly equal to the free air extrusion width, which will be larger than your nozzle because of die swell depending on your material...
