Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice

Here is a post that explains how to set the z offset
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7959&hilit=M206

This stl should be 3mm tall when printed and the thickness of the wall should be .8mm +.01-02 if extrusion multiplier and Z offset is correct

Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice

Setting your Z offset correctly with a calibration square with each and every layer height change.. i.e a .15 layer height requires a different offset than .3mm layer .. A 70 degree bed vrs 110 degree bed will require a different z offset. Just so you can see what is very possible these parts are pr...

Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice

If petg is not sticking to your glass or polymide tape, your Z offset is not set correctly, or you are printing way to fast. I have had PETG remove a chunk of glass from my stock glass plate when not using tape..

Re: Why use 19v for RAMBo?

I am going to guess here.. Over sized to prevent it from running at max output all the time. Better to have more power and step it down than not enough. Has a power supply ramps up and heat goes up output goes up, voltage can drop.. Did a quick google on the subject.. https://www.google.com/search?q...

Re: Filament Drive Pinion gear slipping on shaft

Added them to my wish list for birthday.. but even the smallest would be too big for the pinion in this use case.

Re: Filament Drive Pinion gear slipping on shaft

Ed the issue is the new pinion gear will drop right on, no pressing need, spins like a fidget spinner. Hole in gear is bigger than the shaft.. .01-02mm maybe more.. Was hard to get a good measurement with the caliper. Will you magic juice work on that?

Re: Filament Drive Pinion gear slipping on shaft

Update: I tried to install some old Makergear PLA which is hard as a rock (going in the trash now) and it stopped the extruder, spinning the shaft in the pinion gear. I had purchased a replacement gear from MG knowing this would happen at some point.. took off the motor, pulled off the old gear and ...

Re: new makergear extruder from ben heck

there is a slightly modified version of the current makergear extruder on thingyvers that was altered to make printing tpu easier.. That along with a new drive gear make all the difference in the world with TPU and other soft filament.

Re: Ultra One Bed Leveling Procedure

Sounds worse than the old manual method of printing the appropriate 2 walled square, measure and make z offset change with M206 and M500.. Why in gods name would you need to run a mesh level with every print.. manually level the bed, run mesh and be done with it for the year.. My simple M2 does not ...
