Re: How can I slow the Z movement before the purge?
The bed does weigh quite a bit, and trying to lift it from a dead stop so fast is definitely the reason it skips.

Re: Simplify3D not opening or taking forever to open
well, tonight it is running. Very slowly but running.... a command to the printer has a good 30 sec delay. I leave for a long overseas trip real soon so I guess I will have to figure it out when I return, I put Linux on a thumb drive and am going to try it out while I am away on my laptop, I might j...

Re: Filament over flow causing grinding when nozzle passes o
I had the same issue awhile back. If you are using S3D, find the setting called overlap and turn it down. Let me know if this helps. EDIT: finally home infront of my computer. The setting is under Infill and is called perimeter overlap. Mine is set to 15%, when turned up to %25 I had the exact same ...

Simplify3D not opening or taking forever to open
Hello all, Ever since the switch to windows 10 it seems like I have had nothing but trouble. I have been printing without any real issues for awhile. I printed constantly a couple of weeks ago without any issues and now all of the sudden S3D does not want to open, or if I wait 10-15 minutes it will ...

Re: 36 hours and counting!
Well, I shouldn't have opened my mouth so soon! I am printing from the SD card but left the printer plugged into the computer and windows decided to do some weird update and stopped the print  I went to bed for a little while and stated the print up again at 6:30 am and made sure to unplug it ...

36 hours and counting!
I have to take a moment from my day and brag on the M2 really quick. I got a fairly large order with about a week deadline recently. Of course I was out of the color the person wanted and wouldn't you know it, my extruder pinion gear had to finally wear out on me at the same time. Makergear quickly ...

Re: Anyone using Mattercontrol?
Do you have any links to what you are talking about, specifically how I would go about wiring one up? Also, I usually wait until the machine cools down before turning it off. Is it safe to just kill the power during a print? I worry too much.....

Re: Extruder motor failure....
Yeah, sure saved my butt! 10 hour print came out beautifully last night. I can't wait to get the new motor in and switch it out so I can take a look at the brass gear and see how worn out it is with a few days of use. I should probably organize my junk now, took about an hour to find that pinion.......
