Re: What 3D design software is everyone using?

keeping in mind that fusion is free for hobbyists and is available for mac, whereas solidworks, while undeniably a big deal in the design industry, is only available for windows and I'm expecting it to also come with a considerable cost. I've heard from a few people that fusion is similar enough tha...

Re: What 3D design software is everyone using?

I want to stay more on the precision engineering side of things, so would you say I should just stick with Fusion 360 since the interface is already familiar to me and it has a bit of an organic design component to it?

I've been using 123D design for 6 months with the intent of moving to a more complicated program once I had a handle on 123D. My original plan was to move to Fusion 360 but I wanted to check with the users on here and see what everyones using, and get your take on the available programs. I'm a millw...

Re: Best ALL AROUND filament

Great input, thanks fellas!

I'm thinking I will probably have to hold off on printing with PolyCarbonate until I upgrade to another hot end that can take that kind of heat. I'm still working with the stock v3b at the moment

Re: Best ALL AROUND filament

Do you know the temp that PETG starts to soften? I know PLA starts to soften as something like 60C which would make anything that might get left outside or in a car on a hot day deform easily.

Best ALL AROUND filament

Ive been printing with PLA almost exclusively, with the exception of a bit of ninjaflex. I want to print a new filament drive and I'm looking for a filament to make it out of that will stand up to the elevated temps that a filament drive sees, as well as something that is strong. If I'm going to buy...

Yeah, the pics are huge, but I wanted to show the surface condition of this print. the mat that the print is on is an square inch per square, so you have an idea of its actual size
