Laminated Print Surface on New Stock M2?
Hello all, I see the pretty new website and new revision of the M2. I noticed the amber hue in the new photos and this line next to "build plate" in the specs: "Borosilicate glass print bed with laminated, replaceable print surface." I'm surprised the forum isn't a flurry with information about this...

Larger ePC Prints with Enclosure?
I'm wondering if anyone here has tried large ePC (or other PC) with an enclosure.
Even if I get perfect adhesion with ePC (or other PC) with my PEI bed at 105C, larger parts stress-relieve as soon as they're removed and are no longer flat. It may be enclosure time.

Re: larger Nozzle diameter to prevent clogs?
FYI, I did switch to .5mm exclusively a few weeks ago and haven't had any clogs yet running PETG, ePC, and PC-Plus. Prints are noticeably faster even with the same layer height due to the extrusion width increase, and it's nice having the option to do sparse infill with a .2mm layer height.

Re: How You Too Can Achieve Printing Nirvana
Jules, THANK YOU for the nudge toward PEI. My MIC6 plate is now converted and I think that now, finally, the printer is in its ultimate state. I feel that your post was justifiably enthusiastic. The polycarbonate variants are sticking to it more reliably than with any other surface. No hairspray. No...

Re: Any heat resistant Plastics for GPS bracket in a boat?
I was thinking about PETG for outdoor parts a couple weeks ago. I was searching the internet for things like "PETG weather resistance" and "PETG outdoors" and the internet's consensus seems to be that it's not a good outdoor material (due to lack of UV resistance) unless there's a UV-resistant addit...

Re: New Filament Announcement from Polymaker
Surprising! What temperature are you using for white? The packaging says 250-270 but I'm finding 272 to be good for white. Lower and yes, layer bonding can be an issue. It was pointed out to me in another thread that the colors make a difference too for emissivity reasons. I would expect black to lo...

New Filament Announcement from Polymaker
It looks like the Polymaker website has been updated with an announcement for a new filament called PC-Max, which isn't available yet. From the terse description I gather it's even tougher than PC-Plus. It says: Polymaker PC-Max™ offers the absolute best in toughness that is simply unobtainable from...

Re: How You Too Can Achieve Printing Nirvana
So I have an update for PC-Plus... Didn't get the PEI for my M2 yet but we just got a TAZ5 at work which comes with PEI stock (needed the build volume) and I'm sitting next to the machine running it's first print in black PC-Plus right now. While it will take some time to dial in settings there's no...

Re: Feed Failures with PETG
Something in the air indeed! Lot's of good info here. PcS, by "print ending inconsistencies" do you mean it just stops feeding like people are describing? And you definitely notice better results with other brands? I hadn't thought of extrusion pressure and having to increase temperature or decrease...
