Re: Extrusion calibration
OK, that makes sense given how I adjusted it originally. Guess it's time to break out the real gauges...

Re: Extrusion calibration
Layer height is .2, extrusion width is .4. And, yes, it's reading 1.94 (i.e., a little below 2mm high.) But I can confirm the nozzle is not dragging through the glass on the first layer.

Re: Extrusion calibration
Finally got some calipers. I've got two questions: 1) The thickness varies a bit, from .38 to .5, as I go around. This is PLA from esun and seems to be fairly consistent thickness (around 1.73). 2) The height is consistently 1.94 -- what's the height *supposed* to be? (Using the box linked to at the...

Re: distortion
Double-click on the model, and change the "Rotational Offsets" on the right. (When you're done, click 'Center and Arrange.')

Re: Helpful tools to print
Finally got around to printing the snazzy Z knob. This may be a silly question, but how do you get the collar out of the stock knob? (Or does everyone just buy another collar?)

Re: 2nd day with the M2 and having issues, Help appreciated!
Just piling on as a complete n00b (got my M2 mid-February) -- adjusting the Z end stop made all the difference in the world for me with the first few layers. (Not very coincidentally, one of the first things I subsequently printed was a tool for adjusting the Z end stop screw & nut -- http://www.thi...

+1 for 'orchestra'
(Though I was going to answer the original question with "awesome," and maybe "jealousy-inducing")

Haha, yeah, at least a day or two. Thanks!
Does the bracket for the fans do much other than provide space for LEDs (which I don't anticipate adding anytime soon)? e.g. better cooling or something?

Helpful tools to print
Finally took the plunge into 3D printing -- have to say I'm ecstatic with my choice so far. :D What helpful "printer add-ons" do people recommend printing? I found & printed a nice tool holder, then found it's sized for an older model -- so I've already got an awesome demo print I can show people. :...
