Re: Any heat resistant Plastics for GPS bracket in a boat?

How did the PETG hold up in heat? Why do people even use ABS anymore? And why even use PLA? It seems that PETG renders them both obsolete? At work we had only ever used PLA and it was cheap stuff at that. When I first got my own printer, I had made that decision to just buy PETG. I thought that It ...

Deceleration is just negative acceleration, it's calculated the same way.

Re: Waves at Corners

along with what Jules said, If you are designing the model yourself, put small fillets on every corner that is in the XY plane. a 0.5mm should suffice. That way when your printer is approaching the corner it isn't trying to come to a dead stop then take off again. Instead it will make a more fluid m...

Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!

This printer used to print SMOOTH AND AMAZING....I barely paid $100 back off my credit card and it's already busted? No warranty? No nothing....it worked perfectly for about 2 months and now this? I bought my MG used from another user of the forum and this printer is circa 2014-15. MG still gave me...

Dayum.

It looks like overkill. It looks amazing!

could you produce a similar mod for a single extruder? I particularly like your integrated grid to make laminar airflow, probably not needed for 3D printing but still cool!

I second the Fusion 360. I got into the nitty gritty of Autodesk Inventor this past year for the class I taught and it was powerful, but too much for the hobbyist. Fusion offers all of the same features that I need, without over-doing it. It's a great piece of software for the competitive price of $0.

Re: Same G Code, Different results?

I'm not sure why your second print is less stringy but it does look a bit more melted. This happens when you print small areas on a single object. The layers get very hot because they are never given a moment to cool and become more pliable. to prevent the "heat soak" you can either try to add more ...
