Re: M2 Frame Vibration Dampeners
Although this method seems to reduce/eliminate vibration of the table, I would think that it would introduce problems with the printed item. The idea behind having a rigid frame is to provide a stiffness/mass so that when motion changes directions you don't get things like ringing. Maybe melted plas...

Re: Thermal runaway protection available in S3D?
I'll inject my "why you must not trust firmware for safety functions" rant just once more Ed, that works both ways. My brother worked on F4 fighter radar systems. Eighty percent of the system failures were in the hardware circuits that were monitoring the radar performance. It makes for a really ba...

Re: Thought I was a 3D printing hero until I tried ABS :(
I have only printed with ABS. The devil you know------ something like that. Anyway, I'm currently printing on a different brand printer that is enclosed. One thing that I have done to help with the warping issue is to design tabs on the side of my projects that have a long flat run of material so th...

Re: Newest octoprint problem
Glad things are working. I never knew that USB cables could refuse one program but not another. Are you running on a HAL 9000?

Re: Newest octoprint problem
I don't use Octoprint, so I'm not sure how it works. I have seen some output on the forum here that shows Octoprint using checksums. I have discussed checksums with the S3D people and they said that they don't use them (that was pre- version 3). So, Octoprint is adding the checksums to send to the p...

Re: Newest octoprint problem
What is "it"?It is off by default. Turning it on doe not change the results
Where does the auto/level/homing G-code come from? Does it have checksums?

Re: Newest octoprint problem
S3D doesn't do checksums. Octoprint obviously does do checksums.

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
If the Rambo board has enough memory try turning compiler/linker optimizations off and see if the problem persists.
If code space on the Rambo is tight, someone may have taken advantage of a compiler quirk that reduced instruction count, but is a characteristic that is not in the newer compiler.
