Re: help through my first ABS print . POWDERED TOAST MAN!
I'm pretty new to 3D printing, but what I know ...I know well, having printed out over 100 of parts in ABS. Any skill level I have at all is due to members here that put me on the straight and narrow. If any of you have a problem, the membership here is golden to fix it. It's a tricky pull of the mo...

Re: help through my first ABS print . POWDERED TOAST MAN!
Had screws fall out on me before, then seen a post here about snugging up ALL the allen sets/screws, and backing off ...slightly, as necessary to achieve a level build bed. Seen you some of you models broke loose of the bed too. That glue stick stuff seen in one of your pics don't work for me either...

Re: help through my first ABS print . POWDERED TOAST MAN!
ABS without a windscreen, or a box to keep the print warm does not work for me. Ambient room temp should be in the mid 70s F. With winter in Michigan now, had to move my printer into the utility room where it's lot warmer than my work shop. Infill at 10% is a long ways to stretch filament in some ca...

Re: Saving Gcode to SD
OK, understand the g-code part.
My question is: after you save the preview file to disk, how does printer
know the temp, retraction settings ...etc?
Is that encoded on the sd card when the preview file is saved?

Re: Extruder keeps slipping
v3b is not a flawed design. Printed 100s of models with no issues to speak of.
Does extruder drive hole line up into the v3b where there's a clear path?
Are you using the same extruder drive with both hotends?
Not the sharpest tool in this shed, but know the v3b has done me right.

Re: Saving Gcode to SD
SD card is working.
If you're printing from the SD, settings must be manual into the S3D control panel?
No such thing as factory files with a SD card ...right?

Re: Patent Pending
Learned a lot about accuracy of the M2, had 2 SLAs made, at 60 some bucks each. Almost identical to the printed out parts, minus the layer lines. Future projects, no SLAs will be required seeing how good the M2 does. Goal all along was to develop fishing tackle when I purchased my printer. This way,...

Patent Pending
62080595 is my patent pending number for a new fishing spoon with a reinforced outer perimeter. 9.26.14_Ludington 004.jpg This only was made possible with jimc's design work with my tweaks to get the lure action topnotch. This is a huge leap forward and I have a year to file for a full utility paten...

Saving Gcode to SD
Been thru S3D and cannot find how to transport gcode to a sd card
so I can start a print with the computer, then let the sd card do the rest.
Win 7 operating system. 2.2 S3D.
Any other info to do this right, please help me get it right the 1st time.
Thanks beforehand!

Re: hoping to join the makergear community soon!
Want to comment on the pricey UPS shipping. UPS has no mercy when it come to delivering to residential addresses. I lost 60 bucks on my first off brand machine (returned, cuz it was junk) both ways, and that was from Florida to Georgia. If anyone has a friend that's business owner with a commercial ...
