Re: PEI Bed Surface
innkeeper, you and I must have found the same source! lol most likely... i cut mine this weekend and have been working on the warping....so i haven't even got to print on it yet,... the warping is pretty significant. heated it up to 100, and flipped it after a bit, and still warped the other way.. ...

Re: Metal Fill Filament other than ColorFAb?
Is there any other brand of metal fill that works well? I mainly just need to be able to polish it to look like an actual piece made of metal So far i haven't found anything worth trying. there is some chinese 40% metal filament on ebay, but i haven't found anyone who has tried it. you can get .25k...

I plan to use it like i do my mic6 or the zebra plate and clamp it right on the anodized aluminium. it is a bit thicker then 1/4" maybe closer to .275 there is a rough side and a smooth...

Re: How long can you keep filament
for the most part, if you can keep your filament stored at relatively low humidity, it will last a while... i have filament that 3 years old, that i recently used... and it was all good. i've had filament break down in less time... and i think it has noting to do with the storage temperature, but mo...

Re: Excellent Filaments Resource - Blog
follow up on the shaxon filament... I did finally get a reply from SHAXON on their metal infused pla density. the density is 1.24 g/cm3 which is the same as plain ole PLA. so like eSun's Bronze filament, there is very little actual metal content. I confirmed their density they gave me by actual weig...

Re: Filaments that play nicely together in same nozzle
Here is what i do. when going from one type of filament to another, i will use cleaner filament at the temperature of the previously loaded filament or perhaps a couple of degrees higher to make the old filament more 'liquid'. once i have purged out the old filament successfully using the cleaner fi...

Re: Ditto printing!
I've done this under my MB with sailfish firmware which has ditto printing... cool feature... I used it a few times when i was making many copies of a very small print. it was limited to the size because of the fixed distance between heads...having the ability to have the heads at much wider distanc...

Re: possibly failing mosfet?
I've been looking into some large format 3d printers recently... but noting really floats my boat at a cost i am willing to pay. i've been toying with the idea of building my own. lots of stuff out there though... a few here run multiple m2's and are very happy. best place to learn about a printer i...
