Re: BuildTak Spatula
It's been really good with my M2, a LOT easier than other things I've used. But I've found it's also really good for my X-Carve CNC where I use double sided tape to fasten the carving stock and the M2 and CNC are in different rooms, so I might have to buy another one.

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
I can't currently get to the main Makergear website, only forum.makergear.com website works. www.makergear.com has DNS resolution errors, but I don't necessarily think it's related to yesterdays DNS attack. I'm mentioning this because I think you just said the website had been worked on. Here's the ...

Re: Collaboration Opportunity with MakerGear
Adding a CNC and a laser cutter/engraver to your lineup seems like a no-brainer to me, they're all so similar the skills transfer should be enormous. Note that I do NOT think a combination 3D printer/CNC/laser is a good idea, they have different cleanliness, dust collection, venting, and enclosure d...

Re: Help with purchasing the proper MakerGear M2 setup
I have a totally different approach. I have the printer in my finished basement connected to a Raspberry Pi running Octoprint and is wired into my home network. So I design with Fusion 360 upstairs on my laptop, then slice with Simplify3D and upload the resulting gcode file to Octoprint over my netw...

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
Click on Board Index, then the word MAKERGEAR in the blue frame right under the link "view unanswered posts". It's a useful page because it shows all the main topic categories and then the active topics for the whole board, but it's slowly gotten filled up with pinned posts.

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
The forum has so many pinned topics that if you go to the page which lists recent activity http://forum.makergear.com/viewforum.php?f=1 there is only room for one actual latest post at the bottom. This leaves no way to see the current hot topics on the forum and therefore makes it look less active t...

Re: M2e Kit (Pre-order)
Rick, can you clarify the community only support (mostly for others, I've already got my M2)? For example when I built my M2 as a kit a couple of years ago when I first tried to heat the bed it wouldn't come on. Turned out to be a bad thermister which was quickly replaced and I was working after tha...
