Re: When to upgrade to S3D.

The MakerGear was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I did it anyway. Once I overspent on the printer, I didn't want to spend even more on S3D since there are a bunch of free slicers, but I bit the bullet and did it anyway. No regrets. The MakerGear is the best printer I have ever used and S3...

Re: SHOT show 2017 - Who's going, what are you bringing

11 full spools used up and several partials, 25+ POUNDS of filament of all types with no issues. Then, yesterday, my nozzle finally gave up. Not completely, just got slow so it was hard to put down a first layer. I cheated for a while and bumped my extrusion multiplier from .90 to .95 but that only ...

Re: SHOT show 2017 - Who's going, what are you bringing

Are you printing samples or parts for sale on the floor? I am not going this year, but hopefully next. I am a licensed Class 3 NFA manufacturer. The thing I'm working on is a prototype of an upcoming product. This one will not be displayed in our booth, but will be demoed to reps from a few compani...

SHOT show 2017 - Who's going, what are you bringing

Last year we found out after the show that the M2 was a big factor for a couple of us. Who's going this year, are you bringing anything you can talk about, or are you holding back for a big reveal next week? My printer has been running 24x7 for the last few weeks getting ready.

cheers,

The circle embiggens with distance: about 1 inch at 6 inches, 2 @ 12, 4 @ 24.
Nice usage of "embiggens", my favorite, perfectly cromulent word.

Rev E kit available?

Is there a Rev E upgrade kit available? I see that the web site has been updated, but I don't see anything on the "Upgrades" page.

Good Infill settings for clarity in clear PETG

I've been working on an interesting mechanism (sorry, can't disclose ATM). I need to see how several parts inside a housing are interacting in real-life vs. the motion simulations. Up until now I've 3d printed the housings in whatever colored PLA was laying around, but now I need to print a clear ho...
