Re: Testers Needed
insta, that's a fair point. My main concern with the log size is transmission - a comprehensive log only helps if a user can actually send it to us for review. I'll have to revisit automatic compression, it seems... General - it doesn't look like I can track Dropbox downloads, so - has anyone downlo...

Re: S3D Imports Design on Its Side
S3D imports models relative to the STL coordinate system; the STL coordinate system is generated in your CAD program when you export the model. In SolidWorks, I know that the "front" plane is essentially the bed on the printer - if you design with that as the bed, and export the .stl without any oth...

Re: Print bed homes properly, but drops to begin printing
Raddiver - look at the rear Z smooth rod: is there a bracket with a microswitch at the top, or bottom, of the printer? If it's at the top, you have a Rev D or earlier printer, so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0Cz6jPPECM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R53wWwktH0s should help. If the Z endstop...

http://507movements.com/ perhaps? Specifically, that looks like an unwrapped version of 114 (http://507movements.com/mm_114.html ) or one of the nearby ones.

Re: Connection Timeout
Please try with the latest version of the app from here (labeled "experimental", but quite stable in all of my testing thus far): http://www.makergear.com/pages/quickstart-app .
When you were trying that print, did you have the bed and hotend already heated up from the previous steps?

Re: Testers Needed
Alright, this has been quite a while in the works... First, a couple general notes. PcS - the first step is to check the starting height, as, as Rick said, the QS app main process is mostly for new users - we check the starting height, then check if the bed is level; if both are good, continue; if S...

Re: Testers Needed
Alright, things have settled down from the holidays etc... So, some answers - there are two offsets in the firmware. First, there is the standard Z_MAX_LENGTH - in the old system, this told the firmware theoretically how tall it could print; in the new system, this tells the printer the distance fro...

Re: Testers Needed
insta - for feedback, any and all; run it, beat on it, put it through its' paces, and then let us know anything you notice as particularly well designed, or, especially, if anything broke, or didn't go together/stay together right. For the firmware - yeah, I do understand that; I think my record for...
