Re: Testers Needed
jimc - yes, if you could send me the crash report, and some screenshots (perhaps even cellphone/etc. pictures of the screen, to show relative sizing as well as pixel level stuff from a computer screenshot), it would be greatly appreciated. PM or email (josh, at the obvious domain). sprior - yes, the...

Re: Testers Needed
jimc - what exact OS(es?) have you tried, and if it crashed, what error message did you receive? PcS - as long as your firmware supports full M206 (homing offset) gcode, and storing them to EEPROM with M500, the "starting height" adjustments will work fine. General - thanks for the input on the link...

Re: Hydrogen Generator
You could simply setup one job, with two parts, and support in between; then, step through and find where the second part starts. Cut out everything after the last bit of support, add a "G92 Z0.2" (or whatever is appropriate for the first layer position of the first part), then copy in all the code ...

I'll throw my hat in for printing a few copies, when you get to the big version.

Re: Paris Peace Symbol
Pekish - In S3D, you have the option to start a print at an arbitrary height of the model; I imported the model, chose three points that looked good (0 to 2.5, 2.5 to 5, and 5 up for the original scale of the model), and generated one .gcode file for each "slice". From there, I removed some of the s...

Re: Windows 10 wont find printer
Windows 10 does seem to have a driver built in - check your Ports section in Device Manager for a "USB Serial Device", and also check if it disappears when you unplug the printer from your computer.

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)
Tim, does Smoothie have a probe "repeatability" test similar to Marlin's M48? I'd be very interested to see what it reports for the repeatability of the sensor, at 24V input and at 5V input. As I said before, the signal fall-time difference between 5V and 24V input is pretty large, but still not sig...

Re: Viki 2.0 gives you small pox :(
Mark, that's the one for the Geeetech RRDSC; while they should be mostly compatible, I actually haven't tested the Viki2 with that specific firmware (that's on the list, as it would be quite nice if there was a single LCD firmware for all...; though the issue I ran into is that newer Marlin doesn't ...

Re: Viki 2.0 gives you small pox :(
That is caused by LCD firmware; I've not seen it quite so bad, but yes, that's the basic source. I have firmware on our firmware page ( http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-firmware ) for the Viki2 - it's not fully tested, but it does at least load everything up and let you use the LCD. If your LCD still...
