Re: Do everyones ninjaflex prints end up looking like this?
Yeah, the pics are huge, but I wanted to show the surface condition of this print. the mat that the print is on is an square inch per square, so you have an idea of its actual size

Do everyones ninjaflex prints end up looking like this?
My extrusion seems to be very inconsistent. Is this how everyones prints look or am I missing something?
btw Bed is perfectly level, layer height has been calibrated @ 0.2mm, temp is 250, bed is 50, spool is above the printer so there is no guide tube traction, print speed is 15mm/sec

Re: Corner wall mount spool holder
if you don't have a wall to mount to, you could always make a spool holder that mounts to the top plate of the m2. Ive seen a few spool holder designs like that

Re: Corner wall mount spool holder
Got it assembled and mounted today, it actually rotates a bit too easily so I had to put a bit of drag on the bearings to prevent it from unwrapping the spool unintentionally

Re: Corner wall mount spool holder
the printer is at a 45 degree angle in a corner and yes the spool holder will go above it, between the corner and the printer, I wanted it to be back a bit from the printer so that there wouldnt be as much issue for occasions when the print head was on the far opposite side of where the filament was...

Corner wall mount spool holder
it was driving me nuts having my ninjaflex dragging so hard in the guide tube that it pretty much prevented it from printing, so I took Dale Reeds idea and ran with it (thank you sir!) My M2 is in a corner so I make it at a 45 degree angle and made it compatible with many different types of spools, ...

Re: Call for sample prints
I designed a couple simple hexagonal coasters that would be easy prints and look kinda neat

This is the shorter one, takes half the time to print compared to the full height one

Re: Looking for parts to make CNC plasma table
yes there are 2 old stepper motors with the table, but they're 15 years old and rather than run the risk of them not working I think he would rather start with new, working parts (especially ones that can be replaced easily) and go from there. on that note, I should have asked up front what he could...

Re: Looking for parts to make CNC plasma table
Currently I use 123d for my 3d printer CAD designing, and it has an "send to CNC utility" option, do you have any experience with this? its free software that is well equipped for my skill level and i'm comfortable using it.
