Re: E3D V6's no longer come with 40watt heaters by default

I got the v6 assembled and installed and did the thermistor number change and PID autotune. which was shockingly easy! I didnt expect there to be annotations throughout the firmware configuration.h file. If anyone is hesitant, dont be! It's a breeze! Thanks again Jim. Just waiting on my 40mm fan fro...

Re: nema17 dampers

reproduce it if I get the homing speeds at the right speed Two words: mechanical resonance The rule of thumb for fixing that involves avoiding that particular speed, which is easy enough for 3D printers that never move at the same speed in the same direction for very long. Set the homing speed to a...

Where is everyone getting their molex connectors from?

I'd like to outfit my new hot ends with molex connectors to plug into the oem makergear connections and after learning they're molex microfit 3.0 style, I dont really know where to go from here as I will have to buy the pins separately and the tools to do the job. I was hoping someone might point me...

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament

I never broke fans with tweezers or allen drives, it was always the filament itself. I'd feed it up through the filament guide tube, and the natural flex of the tube would guide the filament straight into the fan blades with a precision that would make the semiconductor industry feel foolish. LMAO

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament

The only thing I've ever put through a fan was the allen head screwdriver when I was mounting or unmounting the fan from the filament drive, ended up breaking off 2 blades from the first fan that was on it, good thing I ordered the spare parts kit for it. havent done it again since... *knock on wood*

So what you're saying is that printed solid is a good company to deal with, and they're an e3d dealer?

I dont plan on returning to filastruder again, so if printed solid is a good place to go I'll check them out for the next one

Thermal runaway protection available in S3D?

I hadnt really considered this as a threat for times when I leave my printer unattended but now that I'm aware of it I would like to see if theres something I can do to mitigate the risk. Is there a provision in s3d or in the marlin firmware that can be set so that in the event of a MOSFET failure o...
