Re: Dual Extruder Upgrade - Limited Availability

Just completed the order for my V4 dual extruder upgrade! Super excited! Now the hardest part is the wait, but MakerGear has proven time and again that the wait is completely worth it!

Re: Is it worth buying the kit just for "experience?"

I ordered my unassembled as I wanted to know the inner workings of the machine. I didn't regret it. Took about 5.5 hours to build. I had to trouble shoot a few things, but due to some of the connections being reversed. It is all set up now and runs perfectly. If you have a simple understanding of ba...

Re: Noob getting started questions

Got everything working and the first print printed beautifully. I went back through and checked the wiring again and it turns out the z stop was reversed (could have sworn I saw the red light...grrr). After double checking the wiring I re-leveled the bed and re-calibrated the z stop. After that....e...

Re: Noob getting started questions

The red light does come on, so I think that is OK. Do you have a link for the first move procedures? I do not remember seeing anything about that.

Z axis wire was reversed. Now gotta solve the z stop. When I home the z axis, it always hits the z stop...it would keep going till it hit the extruded head. I'll search the forum first. Thanks all.

Re: Noob getting started questions

I think that it may be wired backwards. When I hit home the machine, the platform does drive downwards. Will have to try this when I get home from work today. The Home Z button does not bring the platform to the top, it sends it to the bottom. I will try the fix when I get home. Thanks everyone for ...

Noob getting started questions

Good morning all! Just got my M2 assembled and set up and I have a question about getting started. When I start a print, the X and Y axis zero out and apparently the Z axis is as well. The Z axis is set all the way to the bottom (the printing platform is resting on the base of the printer frame). Th...
