Need Parts

Well, I have been having problems with intermittent extrusion and thought my extruder needed to be cleaned. I took it apart and all seemed to go fine. I put it back together and it started printing normally. Just went I thought my problems were gone I noticed a couple of things (1) The fan on the ex...

Re: Extruding Problem

The problem has returned. I can extrude as much as I want before the print starts but it will just stop during the print. I rechecked the z stop and bed level and it is just right. I think the tension is Ok. It is just hand tight and doesnt make marks that are too deep. How far should the "bite" be ...

Re: Extruding Problem

The calibration thread you referenced was simple but genius. I ran it a few times until I got things dialed in. My measurements are very close to the examples given. I am going to print something but expect my issues will be gone or greatly minimized. Thanks for all of your help. I will report back ...

Re: Extruding Problem

Ok, I will try and adjust it, something I haven't had to do yet. The ridge around the perimeter is pretty consistent for items printed in various locations on the plate so I am confident it is pretty close to being level. The first layer width is set to 100%. The extrusion multiplier is currently .9...

Re: Extruding Problem

Readjusting the height did the trick! I first tried another print and manually adjusted the height weith the knob, something I never tried before. It must have been luck but I ended up letting the print finish and it ended up solving another problem I was having. Once the print was complete I noted ...

Extruding Problem

I am looking for some help for a problem I just started having. When I go to print and everything heats up I can manually extrude a nice steady flow of filament. The print begins and seems ok. The initial extrusion happens outside of the plate and is wiped. The problem is it doesn't seem to want to ...

Model Orientation

My son wants to do a project together he has seen on thinigiverse. I am trying to plan how best to print it and am looking for some input. I plan on using PLA but was curious what orientation a "pro" would print the various parts to get the best looking outcome. The item can be found at; http://www....

Re: Print Quality Help

I tried another print and the extrusion slowed down just after the first layer again. As the print continued the extrusion basically stopped for almost 1/2 of the layer and then started again and hasn't stopped since. It seems like the transition from the slow speed of the 1st layer (40%) to full sp...

Re: Print Quality Help

Yes, photos of the model with the issues you're trying to fix would be helpful. Your settings seem fine, and if you've printed with them before without issue, I wouldn't look there first. You've already preempted the first two common suggestions, though, by saying you've checked your bed height and...
