Re: Slice this!

I threw the model in with another test object I was working on earlier and it sliced fine. In other words it bridged the gap straight across and did not try and spiral it. The process had some strange settings because of the other test I was running so I started returning the settings to normal and ...

Re: Maker Gear logo?

Ah that looks like the new Esun Blue. Sigh, alas I did not receive my blue due to a mix up and I have to wait for the next batch to come in next year. I like the clear and yellow so far. I am thinking of getting some of the flex from him and see how well it works while I wait for the blue. If they a...

Re: First Self-Created Model Won't Print

I agree with Ed on nearly everything but his thoughts about the minimum thickness. I print things all the time at one extrusion width, say around .4 for the .35 nozzle. I would not recommend it for a first print though. I will add that I think there is a limit with slowing down a print for smaller p...

Re: esun petg

My blue and red went the long way around. Apparently Greensboro, NC is in between Denver and Lyons.
I hope to be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Ornament

I built a yurt platform for some friends and neighbors and then helped them erect it. They are very pleased with it so I thought I would make them an ornament for their tree. I printed the red yurt piece in PLA and then the outer shell in my new ESUN PETG clear. After it had printed high enough I pa...

Re: Problems with PRE-echo on models

I agree with Jim. The overall surface quality is way down and is probably the small part syndrome. I did print this part. I was not sure from the pictures the orientation you used to print this, so I did both. I already needed to print another small part so threw these in to help. I did get some har...

Re: 3d printed speakers

Jim, those are wickedly cool.
If you happen to have any pictures of the prefineshed part after it was printed I would love to see them.

Would you mind sharing the model?

Thanks
Erik

Hi Jim,
I would like a roll of each color (4 right?). Am I understanding correctly that they will be drop shipping it direct?

Thanks

Re: MG Prusa Mendel Extruder On M2

That would be me. You can find it here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37774. It was one of the first projects I did for my M2. That was a long time ago and besides the one roll I put through I have not used it since. I worked fine for me and I even printed it in PLA. I did not do anything with the...

Re: type of oil to lubricate rails in m2

I think the recommendation was for some light grease like lithium grease for the rails and some 3-in-one type oil for the threads on the screw.
Mine came with a small tub of grease and I have not used it up yet. That was a long time ago so I am not sure what they send now.
