Re: increasing print speeds
Thanks for the advice guys! I guess I thought my machine just seemed slower than a lot of the ones I have seen on youtube and that maybe my settings were a little off. Right now I am printing 8 pieces that take up my entire bed, S3D estimates the time will be about 7 hours but in practice I know it ...

increasing print speeds
Hey guys, Another question to bug you experts with..... I have searched the forums for speeding up my prints and read a few posts but I would like to go into a little more detail. Right now I am getting great quality prints, I do get a bit of a seam on my prints which I am slowing adjusting but over...

Re: Glowforge laser printer
$1600 will buy me a lot more than 80 hours! :) plus I get to learn about laser cutting and make myself all sorts of cool junk! I am in the military and all the shops and companies are always getting stuff laser engraved. I am pretty sure the glowforge will pay itself off in the first couple of month...

Re: Glowforge laser printer
That is weird, the countdown on the site remained on time for the last week not matter where I checked it from. I don't have high expectations for this laser cutter/engraver but with the pre-order discount and referrals I will have only paid $1600 for it. If it can do half of what they claim I think...

Re: Glowforge laser printer
I would imagine that the cloud would generate the code to do particular print and then upload it to the machine. It would suck if you loose Internet connectivity and the machine stops. I think the biggest selling point is ease of use, which is why I pre-ordered one. If I don't like it immediately, I...

Re: So i replaced my hot-end and this is happening!
Ok, I have always had a V3b so that isn't where the difference is. After printing all the cubes, the 195 and 200 seemed to be the best and strongest so I will stick with 200. I used to print ABS on my flashforge at 220 so I always though it was weird that 220 worked on PLA so well on the M2 but anyt...

Re: How can I slow the Z movement before the purge?
Alright guys, I cleaned up the rails and Z rod a little but also put in the F command in the Start G-code. I didn't know exactly where to start at so I just threw in F2000. It goes about 3/4 the speed it used to! It worked perfectly! The motor no longer skips! That HPB is pretty heavy, it is holding...

Re: So i replaced my hot-end and this is happening!
I am printing the thin walled cubes now, I am printing one at a time just because that is how I used to do it and I know what a good cube looks like. I want to be able to reference the new cubes to my old ones by printing them exactly as I used to. I do not have a fan guard and I am using a duct to ...

Re: So i replaced my hot-end and this is happening!
So last night I tried printing the thin wall cube again at 230 and then at 240 and the they were both just as bad! So I tried again at 200 and the part came out much better but not perfect! I was thinking completely reverse on the issue. I could swear my old hot end has always been silver! I guess I...

So i replaced my hot-end and this is happening!
Hey guys, A few days ago I had an M2 that was producing near perfect prints, and it has been that way for a year! Well, I finally got a clogged nozzle. I wasn't sure what it was at first because filament was still coming out "sort of". I thought maybe the extruder motor was going bad. I took everyth...
